The Western Federal Lands Highway Division of the Federal Highway Administration continues to work with consultants on the development of additional sections of the Historic Columbia River Highway State Trail.  Geotechnical drilling has occurred this summer, to help determine foundations for future walls and bridges.  The Lindsey Creek to Starvation Creek section should be under construction early in 2015, with completion in late 2016.

Kristen Stallman, Scenic Area Coordinator, Oregon Department of Transportation, continues to complete grant applications, seeking funding for construction of the Historic Columbia River Highway State Trail between Viento and Hood River.
